Exhibition Terms and Conditions



1. Definitions
¡°Exhibitors¡± include companies, groups that have submitted applications to participate in the trade show.
¡°Trade Show¡± refers to the 2007 Korea International Sign & Design Show (KOSIGN 2007)
¡°Organizer¡± refers to COEX, KOAA and the KOSIGN 2006 Secretariat.
¡°GSC (General Service Contractor)¡± refers to the provider of exhibition management services. In this exhibition, it refers to ¡®Expo Networks¡¯.

2. Booth Allocation
Organizer allocates location based on the order of down-payment, size of exhibit space, exhibit items, participation history. The organizer may delegate this responsibility to GSC.
Under special circumstances, the organizer (or GSC) may change the location of the booth. Location change is done at the sole discretion of the organizer (or GSC), and exhibitors subject to a location change may not ask for a refund.

3. Contract, Application and Application Payment
All application forms must be submitted either to the KOSIGN 2007 secretariat, Expo Networks, or POPSign. Down-payment(10% of Total Booth Fee) needs to be received with the application, and the balance (including utility service fee) needs to be paid in full by Sep 21, 2007. At this time, the total fee should be paid to the KOSIGN 2007 Secretariat only.
Payment of the Participation Fee entitles the exhibitor to floor space, 24/7 security, cleaning of aisles, provision of promotional collaterals, and provision of information such as the trade show directory and opening of the trade show.

4. Installation and Move-out
Installation of the booth and moving out must be done according to the schedule set by the organizer (or GSC). Exhibitors are liable and must compensate the organizer (or GSC) for any losses caused by delay in installation or move-out, or for any damage to the exhibition space.


5. Insurance, Security
Exhibitors must have all exhibit items insured during the exhibit period. Organizers will provide a sufficient level of security to protect the rights of the exhibitors and spectators but liability for the loss of exhibit items ultimately falls to the exhibitor. All exhibition materials need to be fireproof to comply with fire security regulations, and organizers (or GSC) may regulate installation and demonstrations when necessary.

6. Provision of Exhibit Information
Exhibitors need to provide information regarding exhibit items, installation and promotions for KOSIGN 2007 to the organizers (or GSC) to determine their compliance with regulations.

7. Limitations on Exhibit Items and Booth Management
Exhibitors need to display exhibit items and assign a booth personnels within the space allocated. Organizers (or GSC) can enforce restrictions on exhibit items that do not match the nature of the trade show, exhibitors who make excessive noise, or exhibitors who infringe on exhibition space allocated to other companies.

8. Prohibition of on-the-spot Sales
The purpose of a trade show is to showcase products and services, and therefore on-the-spot sales activities are strictly prohibited. Sales activities are permitted only at the specifically allocated spaces that organizers (or GSC) have set aside for that purpose. Taxes and other technicalities entailed by such activities are sole responsibility of the exhibitors.

9. Cancellation of Application
In events that the exhibitors decline to use the space allocated, fail to down-payment or fail to comply with the regulations set by the organizers, the organizers (or GSC) can void the application and the participation fee will not be refunded.

10. Changes and Breach of Contract
In events that an exhibitor decides to downgrade the floor space applied for, the following penalty need to be paid to the organizer within 15 days from the change. If the exhibitor has already paid the registration fee in full, the penalty will be deducted from it.
(A) On or before Sep 8. 2007 : 50% of the Registration(Booth Fee)
Cancelled Space/Applied Space ¡¿ Registration Fee (Booth Fee) ¡¿ 50%
(B) Sep 9~ Oct 7. 2007 : 80% of the Registration Fee(Booth Fee)
Cancelled Space/Applied Space ¡¿ Registration Fee (Booth Fee) ¡¿ 80%
(C) On or after Oct 8, 2007 : 100% of the Registration Fee(Booth Fee)
Cancelled Space/Applied Space ¡¿ Registration Fee (Booth Fee) ¡¿ 100%

11. Cancellation
In events that exhibitor decides to cancel their participation, the following penalty need to be paid to the organizers within 15 days of cancellation. If the exhibitor has already paid the registration fee in full, the penalty will be deducted from it.
(A) 1 month prior to the opening date (On or before Sep 8. 2007)
50% of the Registration (Booth Fee)
(B) Within 1 month of the opening date (Sep 7~ Oct 7. 2007)
80% of the Registration Fee (Booth Fee)
(C) Within 1 week of the opening date (On or after Oct 8. 2007)
100% of the Registration Fee (Booth Fee)

12. Act of God
Organizers (or GSC) are not liable in the event that a change in the date or location of the event is inevitable due to a national emergency, a natural disaster or other act of God.

13. Compliance for Amendment
Organizers may make amendments when deemed necessary and exhibitors need to comply with such amendments set by the organizers and COEX.

14. Resolution of Disputes
Disputes between exhibitors and organizers (or GSC) will be arbitrated by the Korea Commercial Arbitration Board, and their resolution will be binding to both parties.
